Something Exciting Is Coming to Mumbles…
There’s a real buzz building behind the scenes at Mumbles.Life right now — and we couldn’t be more excited to share it with you.
We’re Gemma and Mark — married with two children in their early 20s, two dogs (Smithy and Nessa), and a part-time cat called Jones (who very clearly has another family somewhere nearby!). What started as a small idea between us at the kitchen island has quickly grown into something much bigger than we ever imagined.

Our app is nearly here.
After months of planning, chatting, and bringing ideas to life, we’re getting closer and closer to launching something we truly believe will bring Mumbles together in a whole new way.
A lot of this has quite literally been built from home — you’ll often find us side by side at the kitchen island, laptops open, coffees on the go. Mark, who has recently retired after a long career in the audio industry (although retirement might be off the cards now!), is the organised one — keeping everything running smoothly and developing the website.

Gemma is the creative, chatty one — having spent most of her working life in sales and now loving getting out into the community, meeting people and spreading the word about Mumbles.Life.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve been out and about speaking with local businesses — and the response has been incredible. There’s a genuine sense of enthusiasm, with so many business owners keen to be part of what we’re building.
We’re so pleased to already have a fantastic group of business partners on board, including Osteo Hub Mumbles, Harry’s Bar Mumbles, The Vic, Dewkes of Mumbles, Fika, JW Frost Fine Art Gallery, Laura Johnson Lifestyle, Bistro Pierre, Semper Elite Wills, Judith Roberts Opticians, Newbury Pharmacy and Newbury Clarins Gold Salon.

Even better, the offers for members are starting to come together, and they’re shaping up to be something really special. From discounts and exclusive deals to little extras that make a big difference, it’s all about rewarding people for supporting local.
Seeing the support, encouragement, and excitement from everyone has been amazing — and it’s what’s driving us to keep pushing forward and make this the best it can be.
We’re building something for Mumbles, with Mumbles — and we really feel that sense of community in everything that’s happening.
There’s still more to come, and we’re not quite there yet… but we’re getting close.
Very close.
Watch this space.
