Mumbles.Life – Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Mumbles.Life website, mobile application, and related services (together, the “Platform”).

By accessing or using the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

1. About Mumbles.Life

Mumbles.Life is a community-focused digital platform that enables users to discover local events, activities, services, and opportunities in and around Mumbles, and enables local businesses to promote events and special offers to registered members.

Mumbles.Life acts solely as a listing, discovery, and promotional platform. We do not organise, operate, or control any events, services, or offers listed on the Platform.

2. Definitions

  • “Individual Member” means a registered user accessing the Platform for personal use.

  • “Business Member” means a business or organisation registered to promote listings, events, or offers.

  • “Content” means any text, images, listings, offers, promotions, or other material submitted to or displayed on the Platform.

  • “Offer” means a promotion, discount, or incentive provided by a Business Member.

  • “Membership” means any free or paid subscription offered by Mumbles.Life.

3. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or purchase a membership.

  • Business Members confirm they have authority to bind the business they represent.

4. Accounts and Registration

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information

  • Keep login details secure

  • Be responsible for all activity under your account

Mumbles.Life reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain false or misleading information.

5. Memberships and Subscriptions

5.1 Individual Memberships

Individual Members may:

  • Browse events, listings, and community content

  • Receive notifications, emails, and in-app messages

  • Access bespoke offers from Business Members

5.2 Business Memberships

Business Members may:

  • Publish listings, events, and promotions

  • Send offers to Individual Members via Platform tools

  • Access membership features based on their subscription tier

Membership features, pricing, and duration are described at point of purchase and may change from time to time.

6. Payments, Renewals, and Cancellations

  • Membership fees are payable in advance.

  • Subscriptions may auto-renew unless cancelled prior to renewal.

  • Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

  • Statutory consumer rights under UK law are not affected.

7. Listings, Events, and Offers

7.1 Third-Party Content

All listings, events, and offers are provided by Business Members or third parties.

Mumbles.Life:

  • Does not verify or guarantee accuracy

  • Does not endorse any listing, event, or offer

  • Does not guarantee availability or quality

7.2 Transactions

Any booking, purchase, or agreement is strictly between the Individual Member and the Business Member.

Mumbles.Life is not a party to any transaction and accepts no responsibility for:

  • Cancellations or changes

  • Disputes or refunds

  • Losses arising from reliance on third-party content

8. Business Member Obligations

Business Members agree that:

  • All Content and Offers are lawful, accurate, and not misleading

  • Offers comply with UK consumer and advertising laws

  • All promoted offers will be honoured as described

  • They hold all rights necessary to publish submitted Content

Business Members indemnify Mumbles.Life against claims arising from their Content or Offers.

9. Communications and Notifications

By registering, you agree that Mumbles.Life may send:

  • Service communications

  • Event updates

  • Promotional messages and offers from local businesses

Members can manage communication preferences at any time.

Business Members:

  • May only communicate with Individual Members via Platform tools

  • Must not access or misuse personal contact data

10. Acceptable Use

You must not:

  • Use the Platform unlawfully or fraudulently

  • Upload misleading, offensive, or infringing Content

  • Interfere with Platform security or functionality

  • Harvest or misuse user data

11. Intellectual Property

All Platform software, branding, logos, and content are owned by or licensed to Mumbles.Life.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or exploit any part of the Platform without written permission.

12. App Store & Google Play Terms

If you access Mumbles.Life via a mobile app:

  • Apple and Google are not parties to these Terms

  • Apple and Google are not responsible for the app or its content

  • Mumbles.Life is solely responsible for maintenance, support, and complaints

  • Any claims must be directed to Mumbles.Life, not Apple or Google

Use of the app is also subject to applicable App Store or Google Play terms.

13. Suspension and Termination

Mumbles.Life may suspend or terminate accounts or memberships where:

  • These Terms are breached

  • Content is unlawful or harmful

  • Required by law or regulation

No refunds will be due where termination results from a breach.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Mumbles.Life is not liable for loss arising from reliance on listings or offers

  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

15. Privacy and Data Protection

Personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms and complies with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
